MyoFibre

Health and safety

MyoFibre is a training log. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical, physiotherapy, dietary or professional coaching advice.

Before you start

Talk to a doctor or other qualified health professional before starting or changing an exercise programme, especially if you have a heart, lung, joint or other medical condition, an injury, high blood pressure, diabetes, are pregnant or have recently given birth, take medication, are returning after a long break, or are unsure whether exercise is safe for you.

Stop and get help

Stop exercising straight away if you feel chest pain or pressure, severe breathlessness, dizziness or faintness, an irregular heartbeat, or sharp or unusual pain. If symptoms are serious or don’t settle, call your local emergency number.

Suggestions are estimates, not instructions

Some features work things out from what you log: the progression coach (“earned it, try 82.5 kg”), estimated one-rep maxes, plate calculations, warm-up sets, weekly set guides, streak targets, the muscle map, the recovery map and “best to train today”, and the fat-or-muscle summary. These are automated estimates based on general formulas and your own entries. They don’t know your health, technique, injuries or how you feel on the day, and they can be wrong if an entry is wrong. Always use your own judgement, and never lift a weight because the app suggested it if it doesn’t feel right.

Routines

The starter routines are examples, not a programme designed for you. Routines imported from ChatGPT, Claude or any other AI tool, and advice from an AI check-in, are written by that tool, not by us, and are not reviewed or checked. The form cues in the exercise library are short general reminders, not instruction on technique. Make sure any routine suits your experience, health and equipment, and get advice from a qualified coach if you are unsure.

Lifting safely

Warm up, learn good technique before adding load, use collars, safety bars or a spotter for heavy barbell work, and follow your gym’s rules and equipment instructions.

Bodyweight tracking

Weight tracking is for information only and is not a diet or weight-loss programme. If you have, or have had, an eating disorder or a difficult relationship with food or weight, speak to a health professional before tracking your weight, and feel free not to use this feature.

Your responsibility

Exercise carries a risk of injury. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own health and safety. Nothing in MyoFibre replaces advice from a doctor or qualified professional.
